Hotel management platform · formerly Kaamos

Hotel management software built to run your whole property from one platform

Hemmz brings the booking engine, front desk, housekeeping, guest services and billing of an independent hotel or resort into one system.

Pictured: Ondalago House, an invented hotel. Its photographs and films are generated, and every product screen is an illustration with sample data.

Step inside one day at Ondalago House, our invented hotel

One day, one platform

Follow one booking through one day

From the night it is made to the night the day is closed. Ondalago House is an invented hotel, its films are generated, and the screens are illustrations with sample data.

00:07

A booking arrives while the hotel sleeps

A guest books two nights from your own website and pays a deposit. Nobody at the hotel is awake, and nothing needs to be typed in tomorrow.

The booking engine's confirmation page on a phone, with the booking reference, stay dates and room, what was paid online, the balance still due at the hotel, the extras bought and a link to manage the booking. Illustration with sample data.
A receptionist hands a key to arriving guests at the front desk in morning light.

09:40

By morning it is on the arrivals list

The front desk opens one overview: who is arriving, which room they have and whether it is ready, and which departing guests still owe. The booking made in the night is simply there.

The Overview a front desk starts the day on: the checks that need attention, the twelve rooms counted once by housekeeping state, and today's arrivals with the state of each room and the time it must be cleaned by. Illustration with sample data.
A housekeeper smooths the linen on a freshly made bed.

11:15

The room is made ready

Housekeeping works down its round on a phone. A guest can only be checked into a room that has been cleaned, inspected and released.

A driver unloads a suitcase from a van as guests arrive at the hotel entrance.

14:40

A driver meets the flight

The airport transfer is a run on the dispatch board, tied to the booking, with a driver and a vehicle. The same driver cannot be given two runs at once.

20:00

Dinner goes on the room

In the restaurant, the waiter charges dinner to the room and it lands on the same bill as the stay. The restaurant module is in pilot.

A restaurant bill being paid: the whole check of table 4, 80.00 euros, is being charged to room 3 of a guest who is staying now, found by searching her surname in a dialog. Illustration with sample data.

22:40

The night audit, then the close

The night audit lists what is still open before the date ends. When the financial close is approved, the day's money records are sealed, and a correction is a new entry with a name and a time.

The night audit for today at the property in the evening, with the financial close still open, the checks that still have work listed before the day is closed with counts, and a Close day button that records the review and is separate from sealing the day in the financial close. Why one platform

One record, from the first search to the final bill

A booking made at midnight is in the reservation list at once and on the arrivals list the day the guest comes, with a room to prepare, a transfer to arrange and a bill that adds up.

Sell direct, keep the margin

Guests book rooms, packages and extras from your own website. Hemmz charges a subscription, with no commission on your bookings.

One day, one screen

Arrivals, departures, rooms not ready and bills not settled sit on one overview, so the morning starts with what needs attention rather than three logins.

Bills that add up

Room nights, extras and desk charges land on one folio with the right tax, restaurant dinners join it in the pilot, and the day is closed with a record of who took what payment.

The platform

The modules of one platform, sharing one set of data

Each module says plainly how far along it is. We would rather you knew now than found out after you sign.

Changing systems

A rollout that never leaves you without a system

Changing hotel software is the part everyone dreads. We move one stage at a time, and nothing you rely on is switched off until its replacement has been tested with your own bookings and accepted by your staff.

Read our guides on changing systems
  1. 01

    Start where it hurts least

A property can begin with the website and booking engine. Your current systems keep running while we set up yours, and we agree with you which system holds availability at each stage.

  2. 02

    Test with real bookings

Bookings, payments and availability are tried end to end before anything replaces what you use today.

  3. 03

Move the front desk when staff are ready

Property management goes live after training and a checked accounting period, not on a date that suits us.

  4. 04

Switch on the rest as you need it

Housekeeping, transfers and agencies are already part of the platform, and the restaurant is in pilot. Each is switched on with you when your property is ready.
